Wayne and I and his sister Ida went on an Annual Diabetes Ride last May. It was a beautiful day, and a beautiful ride. I have ridden that area several times during Endurance rides…and it was nice to just take our time and look around. We met lots of people on the trail, and everyone seemed to be having a great time.
All of this, while making a difference in a child’s life. We met a young girl that will be able to benefit by going to Diabetes Camp this summer. She loves horses, but doesn’t have one of her own. She got a ride and her face was a sight to behold. A very humbling experience.
Right when we got there, I took some photos, of course. There were 380 riders.
Lots of sponsors and prizes.
Paying our way
That cross is where a lady was pushed off the ledge by her husband last year.
The trails were marked by signs …and some smiling rocks
All done!
